Pick out fruits and vegetables!

Going to your local supermarket is not the same anymore. Do you live on Long Island? Well you’re in luck! Now you can pick out fresh fruits and vegetables right out from the plant however one likes them.

This farm is a large space at the end of the island. Almost every acre of land is a different spot for picking out fruits and vegetables. There’s a large variety of food which one can choose from. These include but aren’t limited to apples, peaches, plums, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, nectarines, tomatoes, pumpkins, eggplants, and bell peppers. 

This farm is located in 812 Sound Avenue, Calverton NY. It is a little tricky to get around but there are signs every corner saying where things are located. 

Around the month of September is usually the best time to go pick up some fruits and vegetables. The stands are open from 9am to 5pm while the “U-pick” are usually open from 9am to 4:30pm. These times can usually vary of course with holidays, weather and season.

So what is everyone waiting for? Go pick some nice juicy strawberries and some sweet apples now today!
