Are you someone who doesn’t speak in class? Are you always trying to hide from the teacher? Do you never have anyone to talk to? Well you’re not alone! So many kids from different ages can relate to this. So today I will be sharing 10 relatable shy people problems.
When someone comes up to you and asks “Why are you so quiet?”
Alright listen up children! It’s not like we decide to be the quiet one. Some have a very difficult time saying “hi” to you, so instead of asking “Why are you so quiet” just ask “hey, how are you?”
Trying to hold a cough in class
How do they do it? Normally if you want to cough or clear your throat you do it. Well not us shy one’s. We feel like with a small cough everyone’s head turn to look at us or just feel distracted because you coughed!
When you have to color code something and the teacher puts the crayons in front of the class
NOOOOOOO! I hate that! That’s torture! If you don’t know why this is terrible then.. I give props to you. But, if you do then you know that feeling of getting up from your seat, walk to the front, grab the colors and walk back to your seat takes SO MUCH OUT OF YOU. then the relief when your back at your sea.. Phew!
Group projects
Why is this even a thing? How is it that we have to work with people we don't want to talk to and cant as a matter of fact! These people are the people you have to depend on to get a good grade. You have to make sure to stay on task or not they’ll just start talking about something else AND you have to make sure you’re doing something so it doesn't seem that you did nothing!
When the teacher mentions a presentation
I would rather take the group project. This is so much worse! Standing in front of the class all eyes on you waiting to see if you’ll mess up. Your palms are sweaty, you’re trembling in fear, your voice is shaky and all you want to do is CRY YOUR EYES OUT!.. Is it just me?...okay..
When the teacher makes an innocent joke about you that even you find funny but all you want to do is cry
I might even laugh but then all I want to do is cry for no reason. Is that just me?
When you out with your best friend and then other friends tag along..
You’ll only understand if you don’t know your besties other friends.. feels like a third wheel
Reading out loud
First let me clear my throat so I don’t sound like I’m dying in the middle of a paragraph… and don’t you dare say “a little louder please”...
That moment when you finally speak and someone turns to you shook and comments “you can talk?”
Yeah believe it or not I can! What a miracle am I right? Who knew all these years I had a voice! I.. have... a... voice…... magical…
Last but not least when you want to say “no” but end up saying “yes”
Ugh why!.. Why do you have to do me like this?!
How badly are you relating right about now?
Now of course being shy isn't always so bad, we have perks to this! And I am not speaking on behalf all shy people. I am writing from my experience. Not all shy people are introverts. And maybe you can relate to these but you’re not shy. But this is just my opinion so thank you for reading!
